Owners

Julie Richards and Debbie Bonzo are the owners and operators of Premier Cheer Inc. Both are NYSCA and NCA certified and have years of coaching experience.

They opened Premier Cheer to give every girl/boy an equal opportunity to cheer and tumble in a safe and exciting environment. They are dedicated to the teaching of cheerleaders using proper technique, safety, and the most experienced coaches. They opened the gym in September of 2002 and have helped guide it's growth into the nationally winning gym that it is today. They are proud to say premier Cheer is the first cheerleading gym dedicated exclusively to the sport of cheerleading in Rochester and is now the best, largest, and safest place to cheer in Rochester, NY.

Coaches   

Our Coaches are USASF Certified, USGF Certified and USAIGC Certified. All have college cheerleading experience. They feature years of coaching experience with extensive training backgrounds and have completed courses in safety, choreography, cheerleading, coaching and stunting.

COACHING STAFF:

SANDY KRIEGER- Sandy Krieger coaches tumbling and is the head coach of the Junior prep, Junior, and Senior All*Star Teams. She is USASF certified in levels 1-5 for stunting, tosses, and tumbling. She is currently the Webster Thomas Varsity Coach and has recently won two national titles in Texas and was named the Coach of the Year in 2005. She is an athletic trainer and is certified in safety.

ROB ULRICH- Rob Ulrich has over 15 years of cheerleading experience. He has worked with kids of all ages and teams of all levels. In 1993 Rob and a few other football players were asked to help the cheerleaders at his high school with some baskets tosses and stunts.  After just one practice, he was hooked. In college he cheered and was on scholarship at the nationally recognized University of Louisville. He cheered for Louisville from 1995-1999 and was captain from 1996-1999. During this time he won 3 NCA Colegiate National Titles. Rob and the University of Louisville cheer team were invited to perform at the 1996 Olympic Opening Ceremonies. Rob started working in the cheer industry in 1995 at the world famous Gym Tyme in Louisville, KY. He coached their Jr. Prep All Star team from 1995-2000. While at Gym Tyme, Rob was responsible for teaching all levels of stunting and tumbling. Finally, Rob runs his own cheer music business under the name D.J.TheRob  and has been making music for other teams for the past 10 years.  Rob is CPR and First Aid certified as well as AACCA and USASF credentialed in levels 1-5 stunts, tumbling and tosses.

Policies

When you enroll your child at Premier Cheer, the assumption is that will child will continue classes through the remainder of the school year (through June xx). If this is not the case, please notify us at time of registration so we can schedule coaches accordingly.

1 1/2 hour classes are $60 per month based on a block of 4 classes.

There is an annual registration fee of $30.00. Private lessons are also available. Please see your coach to discuss your individual needs.

Discount Policy

Families registering more than one child or for multiple classes will receive a 10% discount off the lowest priced class.
We accept checks, VISA, Master Card, and cash payments. Please do not mail cash.

Withdraw Policy

A two week written notice is required to be withdrawn from a class.

Directions

We are conveniently located at 1344 University Ave. suite 5000 in Rochester. To get to the facility, take Rt 490 to the Culver Road exit. Go north on Culver to University Ave. Go right on University Ave. and 1344 is the third entrance on the left, just past Price Right.
